NAVALS' BOATING SOCIETY
The annual meeting of the Wellington Navals' Boating Society which was to have been held last evening was postponed till a date in the Now Year.
The annual report of the society states that the ,, membership is 75, 'but 37 of the members aro iuvay on service, find this necessarily restricted tho activities of Ihe 6ociety during the year. Two members were killed in action during tho past year. During the year the bulance on the billiard table, amounting to £W 17s. 6d., was paid off and there row only remained the debentures of .£1.5 (o Iμ redeemed. Permission was again granted to the-Naval Dependants' Relief Subcommittee of the L'adies' Auxiliary of the Navy League to use the club's hall free of charge for the pnr)>oso of sewing and providing cloth ing for sailors' dependants. The'committee lost; 1 he-services of Mr. A. C. Wonnacott, who proceeded on active service. The thanks of the commit; tee were due to Colonel Duncan, Colonel Coin-tenay, Captain Bell, and the Wellington Jiiflc Clubs' Union for donations,.
