Mr. Croinbic expressed the v opinion that Inking umpires with representative tcnma wa.s bad, as the homo teams generally appointed umpires. It was decided in connection with the "Plunket Shield match thiifc Canterbury be rcqiiueted to appoint two umpires. Attention to the overcrowding of Anderson Park wns drawn by the Thorndnn Cricket Club, which wrote painting out that four games were played on the park recently, and this was considered very dangerous. It was (lecided to inform tho Thoriidon Club that this would not bo permitted to recur. The Thorndon Club wrote asking for the co-operation of the association in the matter of reciitesting the City Council to fill in Ilia gully on the south side of Anderson Park, but the association decided that it was inadvisable to take any action at present. ft was decided, on the motion of Mr. M'Kenzie, to arrange fov a match to be ployed in Wellington between the. Hutt Valley and the test available team in the city, to take place on December 28.
