■ NAVTJA FOR SAN FRANCISCO. Tho arrival of tho cargo-carrier Navua, from San Francisco, via Papeete, was signalled yesterday, two days earlier than was expected, and at 10.30 a.m. she dropped .mohor in the stream. The Navua will not bc-rtli at Taranaki Street Wharf bpforo Thursday, afternoon to discharge a general cargo. Besides tho death (previously reported) of Mr. J. 0. Penman, second engineer, it is understood that four of the crew (natives) died before their ehin readied Papeete. The vessel ie being again thoroughly fumigated, although sho was a clean ship beforo sho left Papeete,

THE DORSET. The date of the projected departure of the Dorset, which is now berthed at tho King's Wharf, reloading for Egypt, is Tuesday next, December 24.
THE DEVON. ' Tho F.S! liner Devon, which should arrive here <Sn Thursday from Waitara, is to Ic.avo about December 25 for Napier. She will return to Wellington for: jnal dispatch for Egypt on January 4.
THE ARAWA. The Arawa arrived at Gisborne on Saturday from Auckland' to continuo .her loading for ■ England. She was expected to leave there yesterday for. Napier and Wellington. Tho Arawa will arrive here on December 24, and sail for England on Now Year's Eve.
MINDORO FOR WELLINGTON. In tow of tho. tug Pelican tho American schooner Mindoro is to leave Lyttelton tomorrow afternoon for Wellington. She iB duo on tho following afternoon. The Mindoro will load here for San Francisco, taking in tallow and hemp from tho stores of Messrs.. A. S. Paterson and Co., Ltd. It is' expected that the schooner, which arrived at Lyttelton on December 4; will leave Wellington on her homeward trip before tho end of the month. The Pelican is to leave port this morning for the, Mindoro. .
FOR HOMEWARD LOADING.' The S.S. and A. Company's steamers Zealandic, Mamari, Matatua; and Coriiv thic will bo ready for Homeward loading in New Zealand in Maroh, and the Athcnic, lonic. Tainui, and Earanga in April.
