The death occurred at Sa.ndgate (England) at the end of September of Mr. Henry Hamilton, one of England's bestknown dramatists, at the age of GO. He began his career as an actor, making his first appearance at the Theatre' Royal, Edinburgh, in 1873, touring afterwards with 'Wilson Barrett, and later with the "Caste" Comedy Company. .He lirst appeared on the London stage in July, 1878, as Snodgrass in "Jingle," a Pickwick episode. Eight years later ho gave np the stage to 'write for it, and practically all the well-known dramas associated with Drury Lane since that time have come, irtainly in association with Mr. Cecil Raleigh, from his pen. Ho had also written several musical plays, including "Veronique" and the "Duchess of Dantzic." Ho had recently, in collaboration with Mr. G. R. Sims, finished a 'new drama for Drury Lane.
