MULTIPLEX MESSAGES
NEW WIRE 'AND WIRELESS ACHIEVEMENT. Montreal, December 11. The New York "Times" Washington correspondent states that the PostmasterGeneral, Mr. A. S. Burleson, has announced the invention of multiplex telephony and telegraphy, by which live simultaneous telephonic conversations, or forty, telegraph messages, can bo sent over a single pair of wires. The practical application of the invention has been'successfully tested.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
