Levin and Co.'s catalogue comprised 1700 hides and calfskins and a quantity of follow. Competition for hides vae restricted, and pricee were Irregular and easier all round. The tallow market was firm. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. repoft that Dricos for tallow were lower by £3 to ~4 per ton. Inferior hides were not in good demand, and calfskins also were lower..
