The committee of the Soldiers' and • , Hostel. Teports that the Hon.. W.' H. 'Ferries forwarded a cheque for £15 for extra comforts for the men in thr. i>,t-..vnt hostel. The.sum hod been most welcome during the prevalence of the epidemic-, enabling tho committee, to provide nianv tilings beyond the means of its ordinary revenue. The whole of the returned mcii and the staff were stricken, but tnere had been only one death, that of Joseph Lucas, and it resulted from a long-stand-ing, weakness brought, about by wounds received on Gallipoli in 1914-15'-The lion. sec. of the Crippled Soldiers and Sailors' Hostel Fund acknowledges with thanks the following additional donations i-.Towish Club, .£195; .1. C. 'Williamson, ,-E2fl; Miss Maltbv (necklaces), 18s. Mrs. Dall, of Kelburn Parade, has donated a hani for Christmas.
