UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS

TO AVOID UNDUE HARDSHIP. By Section 30 of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918, power has been given to the Senate of the University, so far as may be deemed necessary for the purpose of avoiding undue hardship to students or candidates by reason of the s interruption of their studies or examinations through the influenza epidemic, to temporarily suspend or modify any of its statutes or regulations. The Senate, by virtue of the powers conferred upon it, has determined that every student who considers that he was prejudicially affected at the November examinations by the influenza' epidemic may apply to the Senate to have his case considered, as provided-by Section 30 of the War Legislation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 11)18. The application, together with such evidence as the student may desire to submit, shall be made through the Professorial Board of his college"by December 31. All students, therefore, should promptly write in the first instance to the Professorial Boards of their respective ■ colleges, setting out the facts, and enclosing certificates and other evidence in • support, of their applications. Candidates for the law and accountancy professional examinations, who will have an opportunity of sitting in March next, should apply direct to the Registrar of the University, unless they attended college classes during the year.
