GERMAN IMPUDENCE
Sir—Professor Deismann, of Berlin, at the beginning of the war referred to it as "our holy war," and went on to say that' "'there' is a Gospel saying which bursts the bonds of its original historical, meaning and takes new wings in the storm of the world-war, a saying which we may well take as the consecration of our German mission; 'Ye are the salt of the earth! Ye are the light of the world!' " This same professor, who, by, the way, holds honorary degrees from 'Aberdeen, St. Andrew's, and Manchester, has now the effrontery, I see by Saturday's Dominion, to appeal to tho Archbishop of. Canterbury against the terms of the armistice! When is the' limit of German impudence likely to be reached? —I am,.etc., i '. . ■ A KEADEK.
