PORT NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB
. ■/ A meeting of the committee of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club was held on Thursday ovening. On the night of the armistice a very successful social evening , was held at tho Boat Harbour under the direction of a band of enthusiastic workers. The great success which attended that occasion has indyced tho committee to elect a sub-committee, consisting of Messrs. Wilkinson, Edluml, and Croucher, to promote similar occasions at times. In starting races it, has been decided that second-class yachts, shall start at 2.45 p.m., first-class vachts ut 3 p.m., and third-class yacht.? at 3.80 p.m. The race originally , proposed for December U has been postponed to u future (late. The last race- before Christmas will be next Saturday. <-• Now that tlieiarinistice has been signed it lias been decided to write tho Minister of Defence asking that tho restrictions upon landing sit Scorching and Jfaii Bays bo. removed. Messrs. E. Button, .W. Alexander, H. Jeffreys, -mid T. Gates have been elected members,
