FIRE AT CHRISTCHURCH
By Telepraph—Pm«> Association '■ Christchurch, December 5. ■ 'A' fire broke ont this morning in Mad3r'en Brothers' flock and rope factory. The brigade soon arrived, and tho outbreak was suppressed. * A number of the machines were seriously damaged and soma material destroyed, but water boused the chief damage. The buildings affected by the fire are insured for .£3765, but no estimate of the damage has been made yet.
