STATEMENT BY AUSTRALIAN ACT-ING-PBEMIER. (Bee. December 5, 8.10 p.m.) Melbourne, December 5. In the Federal House, Mr. Watt, Act-ing-Premier, replying to the suggestions for lifting the censorship, said that the fiovm-nment desired to relax it as early as passible but two matters must be kept in view till the peace terms were settled, perhaps longer. It was necessary to jealously watch the publication of utterances liketv to prejudice the relations between Britain and the Allies, and also to safeguard the public credit-Press Assu.
