RETENTION IN AUCKLAND "UEGED. By Teleerapli-Prc63 Association. Auckland, December 1. The Deputy Chief Health' Officer, Dr. Frengley, who has been in Auckland since November 3, lias been instructed to proceed to Wellington to-morrow, The Mayor and the chairman of the Hospital Hoard jointly telegraphed a protest on the Bi-ound that the position still callfi for the greatest vigilance and continued care on the part of the health and other authorities. In these circumstances, and having regard to the condition of overseas ships arriving in Auckland today his' retention is strongly urged. Failing the retention of Dr. Frengley and satisfactory assurauces as to the future, a public mooting of citizens will be called immediately.
