DROUGHT IN AUSTRALIA
CROPS ALREADY SUFFERING. (Rec. December 4, 8.45 p.m.) Sydney, December 4. The long-continued lack of rain is causing forebodings in all the States. The crops are already suffering. Unless there is an early break the position will be serious. Tho drought is particularly severe in the outer pastoral areas, where rabbits are swarming in millions.—Press Assn.
