A new clause added to the War Legislation Bill by the- legislative. Coitnril provides that the University Senate may suspend or modify its statutes so far as may be deemed necessary for the purpose of avoiding undue hardship It students or candidates by reason of tlip interruption of thoir studies ur examinations through tho influenza, epidemic. The 'Senate for this purpose may make provision for the granting of degrees ■without examination.
