ALCOHOLIC STRENGTH OF BEER
50 PEE CENT. REDUCTION IN AUSTRALIA. (Bee. December 3, 8.55 p.m.) Melbourne, December 3. Under joint action the Victorian ;\nd New South Wales Governments arc holding a conference on a now Bill Limiting the alcoholic strength of beer. It is proposed to extend Hie reduction on a sliding scale over a period of years, ultimately reducing tho percentage to half the present strength.—Press Assn.
