THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for weeterly winds, strong to galo, and unsettled and squally weather, with rain following, especially in districts with a, westerly aspect. Heavy rain has fallen both in the West Coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, Uarometcr has a falling tendency. The barometer has fallen in the south, and westerly and northerly winds have prevailed to-day, with increasing force in anil southward of Oook Strait. Fair and warm weather has ruled in the East Coast districts, but elsewhere conditions have been changeable, with cloudy to overcast skies. B. T. PEJIBERTOJJ, Assistant Director.
