YACHTING

The Port Nicholson Yacht Club's season was opened o nSaturday afternoon. The race, which was ti general handicap, was won by the Bona, with Viola second, and ICotiri II third. The club has reverted to the Murk Foy system of starting, which makes the racing much more interesting for spectators. Jlr. J. W. Gendall acted as linndicappor. The course selctced was ft T-shape, starting nt Clyde Qu.iy and proceeding up into Evans Bay, back across to the Kaiwnrra liight, thence to the entrance to Evans Bay, and back to the starting line. The total distance of the cqiir.ie is about seven and a half knots. Following is tho result of the nice:—Bona (sailed by Mr. A. J.
