A SUGGESTION
Sir,—May I take up a small space in your columns to make a suggestion that a special concession be granted to the original Anzacs who landed and took part in the Gallipoli campaign, and who were subsequently returned to New Zealand and discharged on account of wounds or sickness without having an opportunity of visiting the Old Country? Now that the war has been practically brought to a conclusion, it is proposed that those- members of the New Zealand Forces overseas who desire furlough in England shall be granted the same before their return to New Zealand, and I think it only right that some special consideration be shown to members of the Main Body and oarly reinforcements who took part'in ono of the greatest military feats in history, and. who had no option but to return to New Zealand for discharge without having the opportunity ol' visiting the homes of their forefathers.— lam,etC - FATHER.
