FATALITY AT PAEKAKARIKI

The :police yesterday received information that a peculiar fatality had occurred on the Paokakariki Hill. A man Mined Frederick Williams, who was driving his mother-in law. aged 71, in a motor-car ovor the hill to Paraparauinu. failed to put in an appearance at his destination. A, first search revealed no traceof him or of his passenger, but yester- ' day morning a man driving over the road' by which Williams had travelled discovered the. latter lying dead at the botlom of tho hill. The motlier-m-lair,; still alive, but seriously injured,, was lyins not 'far away. She was conveyed to Faraparnuimi, and medical Aid was summoned.
