NARROW NECK CAMP
A CHANGE OF PLANS. The proposal to' use Narrow Neck Camp as an observation camp, in which .returned soldiers, suspected 'of .tubercular trouble could b« held for medical . examination, has been abandoned. Iu announcing this decision the DirectorGcncrnl' of Aledical Serviced General E. S. P. Henderson) Btressed tho point that it had never been intended to use the camp as consumptive sanatorium in the ordinary sense. He had decided to abandon the idea, however, in view of the alarm- which had been expressed by, the people of Bevonport.■ Narrow Neck Cnmp, he said, would now be used as a convalescent hospital for the treatment of non-infectious caees among returned soldiers, and after tho general demobilisation would be made into a permanent Territorial camp. The Minister of Defence, when the matter was referred to him, * said General Henderson's recommendation would be adopted. Personally, however, he was very sorry that the soldiers in question were not to have the benefit of the use of Narrow Neck,
