The.Dorset sailed from Sydney on Sunday, for Port Chalmers and Wellington, where ehe is duo on December 4. The DorSet will load for Egypt, and sail about December 11. Tho'U.S. and A. Line, steamer Salvor left San Francißco on November 8 with general cargo for. Wellington and Auckland, AM is due here about December 1. The Tonawanda left Now York on November 4, cargo liiden for Wellington aiid Auckland.. She should arrive here about December 12, and after discharge- will load back to American ports. Mr, Flcmming, fifth, engiAcer on the Moana, has comp ashore. A number of Auckland merchants havo received cablo advices from London that freights on cargoes from the Homeland havo been reduced from £10 to £7 10s. all round. ■ Aβ with the old charge there will still be tho addition of 10 per cent, primage. Tho information is received with satisfaction. The reduction is taken to be due to the fall in the prices of war risks together with the fact that more shipping has been immediately released to resume routine trade. It is presumed that tho freight for cargoes going Home will bo correspondingly reduced, although not yet SCALES LINE'.OF SAILERS. The barque Kaupo arriVed at Wellington on November 16 after a 62 days' run from San Francisco. Tho Ysabel is loading at San Francisco f,oi l Auckland.
