KING'S SPEECH FROM THE
THRONE
(Roc. November 25, 8.20 p.m.) Brussels, November 24. • Intense enthusiasm marked the King's triumphal return. The city was brilliantly lighted. Thousands of Allied soldiers ' participated in the proceedings. The King, in a Speech from the Throne, foreshadowed equal universal suffrage. Belgium in the future, he said, would enjoy complete independence—Aus.-X'.Z. Cable Assn. A BRILLIANTJPECTACLE London, November 23. Mr. Percy Phillips, describing Xing Albert's triumphant entry into Brussels, says: "The city evinced an overwhelming enthusiasm. Cheering resounded all day long, and the crowded streets were impassable. King . Albert, wearing the khaki uniform of a field-marshal, rode at the head of a brilliant cavalcade, including the Queen, the- British Prince Albert, the Crown Prince of Belgium, and a brilliant group of officers representing the Allies. The Kiiig received an address of welcome from Parliament House, and watched the march-past of tho Allied troops.—A U9.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

London, November 24. Sir Douglas Haig reports: "On Sunday our troops, continuing their inarch to the Rhine, reached the German frontier immediately northward of the Duchy of Luxemburg. Our general lino in the evening was the frontier southward of Bcho, Graijd Mesnil, Pomal, Huy, and eastward of Avenues."—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.-Koutcr.
AMERICANS CROSS THE GERMAN FRONTIER, New York, November 23. The New York "Times" correspondent on the West front says that the American army of occupation has entered Rhenish ttusain. The German frontier has been mossed at several places.—Auf.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
