Yesterday was fine in Wellington, with a stiff .breeze from the north-west, which dropped and veered frequently later in the day. The night wiis fresh. Present indications, etatcs the official forecast, are for t\lrong westerly to southerly, winds, squally and changeable conditions, with heavy showers generally. Tho barometer is unsteady, but is expected to rise everywhere soon.
