PRIORITY PERMITS
A MINISTERIAL STATEMENT. The Hon. Arthur M. Myers, Minister in charge of Munitions and Supplies, states that the Government is in cable communication with the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London, 16quiring whether the present system of priority permits in vogue is to be continued until the Ministry inihe United Kingdom signifies that same is to be discontinued. On receipt of advice an announcement will be made, 60 that parties interested may know the position. Meantimo, the business is being carried on as heretofore. " '
The Minister is given to understand from a cablegram which has been received from tho High Commissioner that a number of unexecuted orders wiiich he has supported aro subject to cancellaiion at tho termination of hostilities. The , Minister, therefore, would appreciate a'dvico from business houses and municipalities concerned so that his Department may be ablo to acti in their best interests. >
