"MAKE A RIGHT ROYAL CRUISE OF IT"

Sir,—l cannot resist this "opportunity of making a few more suggestions in lino with "Grateful's" letter published in your issue .of November 21. Tho spirit of patriotism lings true in every line (we don't think!)'. Why not charter the Janie Seddon, and make a right royal cruise of it, perhaps landing at Singapore, and cross the Continent through Russia's red levolutionary fields, Austria, etc., and make a grand entry into Germany. The local Museum would, I am sure, be greatly benefited by the numerous relics they, would surely accumulate. Do not lot us forget the hardships imposed upon v those poor, patient German citizens, "who vere among the first" to involuntary cross our shining harbour to their ' modern St. Helena, where "week in, week out, year in, year out," they have "chewed ton" in desperation, dreaming of this glorious pleasure trip totheFadderland, Imagine, dear friends, their elation and sorrow while viewing tho wtfndorfnl havoc wrought iit the command of their mighty War Lord. Then there' are all those hard-working .conscientious objectors doing time in tho shade of Sit. Cook, who have also toiled for.Mheir King and country. Yes, surely they have famed this little constitutional; the public purso can quite ad'ord it .in these prosperous times. Now, Mr. Editor and readers, as we all know, every mother's son of us lias had an opportunity of leaving these shores unci sharing tho trials and. hardships our brothers have stood, mnn.v shedding- their life's blood without complaint."" By a little stringpullinK. and unfitness many have .managed to keep behind (ho pailjngs until now, when tho all-glorious victory has come, and the peace for which our manhood have so bravely fouelit for has arrived, naturally the?e "bitterly disappointed" fellows want to collect a few notes to exchnngo with the genuine wnrstained heroes, but alas—they have left things a wee bit late—no, never. Let them be the ones to rpst on their laurels silently, and join in Hie well-earned \ynlcome we are to give those rcturnine vho have been fortunate to come through the fray, mnnv of them having left, with the Main Body, nnd who have kep,; going ever since wiHiontv in manv cases, fnrloiisth. etc. Surely our patriotic Dublin \\i\\ not tolorate- this belated 'bleat.—l am, etc., GRATEFUL SECUNDUM
