A MESSAGE TO AUSTRALIA
6 . CONGRATULATIONS RECIPROCATED. Tho Prime Minister has sent the following cablegram to the Hon. W. M. Hughes, Prime Minister of Australia, in reply to tho message published yesterday :— "On behalf of the Government and tho citizens of the Dominion, I thank you most heartily for your cordial telegram jof fc'ieitations. In the hour of final triumph New Zealand most, if arraly reciprocates Australia's congratulations. "Throughout this colossal struggle the New Zealand soldiers have been proud to be joined so closely with the Australian Forces, whose record of heroism and military achievements have worthily upheld the" b?st traditions of our race. The inmerishable associations formed on Gallopoli and other historic fields of bailie have created a lasting bond between both Dominions. "In ah enduring peace may the best energies of both peoples continue to be devoted to building up more firmly in the Pacific our partnership in the great Imnerial Commonwealth of Nations to which it is our privilege and u?ritage to belong." .
