It bad been • intended that the vessel should leave Wellington, for Hobart and Sydney on Friday night, but the time of her departure is now unccrVi'th the' exception of the Mararoa, which will sail for Lyttelton at 4 p.m. to-day, nothing.definite has been arrived 'at regarding the movements of Union Company's steamers. The Anchor. Company s steamer. Nikau 1b due to leave Nelson at 6 a.m. to-day for Wellington. She. will bring e number of passengers and mails, besides a quantity of fresh food, vegetables, and eggs. The Niliau will Teturu to Nelson at 6 o'clock to-morrow morning, taking passengers and mails 0n1y.... . Mr. M. C. Campbell, .third officer of the Niagara, has resigned from the Union Company's service. . It is nxpected-that the refitting of the Union Company's barquo Gladbrook (lato County of Anglcsca) will bo' completed at Port Chalmers in about two weeks time. The vessel will then commence loading for San Francisco. . The barquo Daniel is shortly due at wanganui with a full cargo of cose oil. Very few of the Northern Company s steamers are running, owing to the- difficulty in manning tho vessels. .
