CREMATION IN EPIDEMICS
Sir,—ln tho present menace to the public health ot tho community some attention ought to bo given to I'lie iijjjicnic aspects of (he disposal of the dead. Is there not a strong case lor cremation? Personally, 1 have previously entertained a strong sentiment, based, of course, on family tradition, for earth burial, but I must confess that the present epidemic, especially after the experience of Spain, South Africa, and India, has converted me to tlie value of cremation 'on utilitarian and hygienic grounds—l am, etc., HEBRIDES.
