500 PRISONERS DROWNED AT SEA (Eec. November 17, 5.5 p.m.) Copenhagen, November 36. telegrams from Helsingfors state that the Solsheviki at Kronstadt placed 500 prisoners on lighters nnd drowned them at sea. Those attempting to escape were shot. General Steyn, formerly Govea-nor-General of Finland, was among the drowned, as ho had no money with which to bribe his captors.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
