QUARANTINE STATIONS
AN IMPOBTANT QUESTION
"One very important question which arises is the necessity for the quarantine stations which are now occupied by the Defence Department for internment purposes being mnde available at the earliest possiblo moment in order that provision may exist for the quarantining, under healthy conditions, of any body of troops which may arrive in New Zealand on a transport affected by the ipideniic," said the Minister of Public Health last night. "The necessity for taking this step came prominently under my notice when I visited Auckland in connection with the epidemic there, and a request was made for the , early attention of the Minister of Defence to this important matter. Since then the armistice has been declared, and now the Defence Department is considering the matter in tho light of tho new position which has arisen."
