EMPEROR'S ABDICATION

Advices from Vienna 6tats that the Emperor Karl has issued a proclamation that he has abdicated in order not to Jiiiuli'r the free development of his peoples.—Aus.-N.Z. , Cable Assn. (Eec. November 11, 11.15 p.m.) Berne, November 13. The "Vossiohe Zeitung" states that the Emperor Karl and his family have left Schonbrunn. It is believed that their destination is Switzerland. The 'Emperor, in a proulainntion, relinquishes liis participation in the administration, denies till responsibility for the war, irum which l\o endeavoured to deliver his people. He never interfered with democratic institutions, and hopes that the future will bring internal harmony and happiness.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
GERMAN-AUSTRIAN REPUBLIC PROCLAIMED. Amsterdam, November 12. The State Council nt Vienna has adopted a Bill proclaiming German-Austria to be a republic and part of the German Republic.—Reutev. AUSTRIA PROCLAIMS A REPUBLIC. (Rec. November 14, 11.15 p.m.) Copenhagen, November 13. The "Neno From Presso" states that Austria has proclaimed a republic.
