WELLINGTON SOUTH

VACANT SEAT IN PARLIAMENT. Tho death of Mr. A. H. Hindmarsh, who lira's member of Parliament for Wellington South, creates a, vacancy in ■Wellington's representation in Parliament. . Caving to the prevailing epidemic it is not considered likely that any steps will be taken immediately to hold an election. The existing emergency laws prohibit all assemblages of people in halls or other confined places, and in well-informed circles it is believed that the election to fill the vacancy will not take place until t'he public health has returned to normal.
