FIRE AT NELSON
JAM FACTORY. GREATLY DAMAGED. By 'Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, November 13. . Early this morning a fire broke out in the pulp store, at Ivirkpatriek and Cq.'s jnm factor)', and before it was extin- I guished it had destroyed the pulp store, ' the cask store, and the main canning department, with their contents, including valuable and at present' irreplaceable machinery. 'The'main factory was saved by the strenuous exertions of the firemen. The cunning department will ho idle during the coming season. Estimates of the damage and the insurances aro not available.
