TEANSPORTING HEPATEIATED SOLDTERS. By Telegraph—l'rcss Association. Wanganui, November 7. At a meeting of South African war voteraus last evening, it was decided to revive the South African Association. Matters of interest to those who served in South Africa wore discussed, and it was resolved to press the Government for tho same privileges for' South African war men as arc granted to Maori war veterans and soldiers in the present war. Tho following resolution was also carried unanimously:—"That >" yicw °f tho probable early repatriation of our soldiers serving in the present war, this association urges the Government to take timely stops to ensure their proper transport, in order that such regrettable cases as Hint of the troopship Britannia at t'he end of the South African war may bo prevented; and in particular that overcrowding of tr.visnorts be strictly guarded against, notwithstanding any extra expense such policy may entail."
