LADIES' AUXILIARY, Y.M.C.A.
ANNUAL MEETINCi. Tho annual meeting of the. Ladies' Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. took place at tho association rooms on J hursua.v, Mrs. Low. the president, being in Iho chair. Mrs. Duiubell, srei-olairy, road the report-, which showed a yciu , of active work. Most of tho elfarls of th« ladies wero directed.to war work. The Ladies Auxiliary alall on Kcd Triangle JJay realised JE222 19s. 7d.; the Red Triangle Cake ltoom totalled -C3i)2 Cs. Sd. for the year. Both of these iimouuts were donated to tho Tronch Comforia Fund. 1 lie annual salo of work, together with some funds in hand, realised .£2lO, which was paid over to the Y.M.C.A. Board to help tho soldier work in connection with the local institution. Mrs. Jlnwson, the treasurer, presented the balance-sheet, which showed tho total receipts, to bo over ,£7OO. Mr. Faulkner, the treasurer of the Y.M.C.A. Board, moved tho adoption of the report and balance-sheet, and in doing so complimented tho ladies upon their excellent, work. Mir. C. M. Luke, the president of tho board, seconded the motion and commended the ladies. Mr Kersloy, on behalf of tho National War Committee, testified to tho valuable help they received from tho Ladies' AuxMt.' Allan and Mr. Varney, national war secretary, spoko on the' same sinbject. Mr. Gireig and Mr. Hart, members of the Y.M.C.A. Board, were also present. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, with thanks to the retiring officers. Tho election of officers for the ensuing year then took place and resulted as * follows i-Hon. president, Mrs M. A. Williams; president, Airs. W. D. Dumbell; vice-presidents, Mes(lames Kersley. Low, and Ealphj hon. secretary, not filled; hon. treasurer. Mrs. S. Wright; executive, Mesdames Allan, .Fossette, Ilott, Montague, and Rawson. 'Mrs. Faulkner thanked Mrs. Low for all iho services she had during her term of office as president. Mrs. Lo-,v briefly replied. '
