After disembarking her .Lyftclton passengers at Wellington oh Sunday morningthe Maori will sail direct for Port Chalmers, where she will lay un for overhaul. War celebrations considerably delayed the Westralia Bince she left Wellington for Melbourne, via southern ports. On Friday, Saturday, and Monday her cargo was not worked.. It- was anticipated that she would sail for Melbourne yesterday afternoon. On arrival at the Victorian, port she will be quarantined. , A telegram from Greymonth informed the TJnion Company yesterday that the bar there is not likely to be workable till tomorrow. The Poherua and tho Eamo arc loading for this port. Captain Petersen, Wellington representative of Meßsrs. Richardson and Co., stated yesterday that the bcow Echo was not kept at Napier by influenza affecting the crew, but becauEe her sailo had been blown away and one of her propellershaftß had cracked. Eepairs were made and she is due at Wellington to-day. Mesßrs. Beese Bros, report, that the Opihi arrived at Vancouver on November 1, not on October 18, as previously announced. The vessel covered tho distance m 38 days, which is considered satisfactory. She is now loading general cargo for Wellington.
