A statement regarding tho supply of sugar was made in tho House of Representatives yesterday, by the Primc.'Mimster. Mr. Maseey said that in April Inst tho Government, on the unanimous recommendation of the Board of Trade, entered into an agreement with the Colonial Sugar-Refining Company for supply of sugar to N&w Zealand for one year, commencing; July 1,1918. Tho company undertook to supply all the requirements of tho New Zealand home consumption of sugar for the year ended June 30, 1919. at the wholcsalo price of £22 .10s. f.o.b.
