COMPETITIONS SOCIETY

A meeting of the Wellington Competitions Society wns held last evening, Mr. Helliwell presiding. Tho Organising Committee reported that arrangements for the opening night were well in hand. It was resolved that competitors in the classical dialogue may appear in costume if they desire, ■ but no marks will be awarded- either for costume or make up. The secretary reported having received, a number, of applications for members' tickets,, and it was decided to etrictly limit the sale to the number originally agreed upon. It was resolved to request competitors in the vocal section to arrange rehearsals with the official accompanist as early as possible. An offer from the-Sooullar Company to supply the stage furnishings was accepted with thanks.
