London, November 5. Influenza is still serious _in London. Fifty-four persons were seized in tho streets and taken to the hospitals in twenty-four hours. Within ten hours 289 have thus been seized. Three hundred and fifteen nurses in ten metropolitan asylums ana board hospitals have been stricken, and 580 omnibus drivers and conductors are ill— Aus.-N.Z. Üblo Assn. ■• . ■

Chaplain Bladin, who recently returned from France, is to deliver .i war lecture at tho Vivian Street Citadel tonight, at 8 o'clock. Tho ohaplain's topic will be "My Life With the Boys in Franco." Chaplain Bladin is bringing with him artists from tho camp, who will provide musical items. A benefit collection will bo taken to provide a man with an artificial leg. The public aro invited.
