BOXING
SOLDIERS' BOXING "AT TRENTHAM. The Forty-fifth Reinforcement started their competition "at work and play" with tho usual' boxing tournament on Thursday evening. Major M'Kenzie, O.C. Records, was president; Lieutenant Tyndall, Works. Officer, refereed'the bouts; Lieutenant ' Coombes and Lieutenant Guthrie, were judges; and Lieutenant Callender, A.f5,. timekeeper. The tournament was organised and run by Lieutenant V.' Stockei-j and members of t»ie physical '.staff. • Some excellent bouts eventuated, and the audience were treated to a capital display of boxing.
