AUCKLAND IS REACHED. . The directors of the Wellington-Auck-land Copper Trail were ablo to report yesterday that the donations in hand and now being 6ent forward will carry the trail beyond Auckland. The Wellington district, therefore, has equalled Auckland's effort, though it was beaten on point of timo by the northerners. The' sum of money required to lay the trail from Thorndon station to Auckland station was X 93.720. ' . ' '
Tho Wellington Copper Trail Fund is to be closed finally on November 9. Remittances and donations which cannot reach the hon. treasurer, Mr. A. E. Pearce, by that date should bo sent to the hon. treasurer of the Wellington Centre of the N.Z. Branch cf the British Red Cross.
