THE TEAMS FOR TO-DAY A pairs tournament was played on Lyair Bay green, on Labour .Day, twenty players competing. The wind was at time troublesome, but several good games resulted. The filial—Wood and Reid (s.) v. Drew and Whitehead (s.)—was not finished owing to the rain. Keid was leading when play ceased. The result of the match Lyall Bay v. Karori, is as under:—

It is proposed to hold the annual Public Service bowling tournament in Wellington some time lit the end of November, and entries from Departments who wish to' enter rinks will be leeeived 'by the- hon; secretary,', Mr. W. R. Jouirdain, of the Lands and Survey Department. No Department may enter more than one rink and the tournament will probably. (a.s was the caso last year) be confined to sixteen rinks.
