A meeting of the executive council of thh Wellington Competitions Society was held last evening. Mr. Helliwell presiding. The chairman finted that the services of Mr. Alan M'Elwain had been obtained as stage manager. An offer from Messrs. Begg and Co.,and the Bristol Piano Co. to supply pianos for use during the whole competition season was accepted with thanks. In reply to an inquiry as to whether the l classical dialogue be done in costume, it was resolved that the item in question be given in ordinary dress only. An offer was accepted from n caterer to provide light refreshments for competitors. The matter of advertising was left in the hands of Messrs. Partridge, MacLachlan, and tho secretary. It was resolved to issuo competitors' season tickets at 10s. each, not available for demonstration concerts. !
