Mrs. Pnrkes was Hie organising secretary of the "Women's Emergency Corps at Home, of which so much has been heard even in' New Zealand. Sir Joseph AVnrd will preside nt tho meeting, the proceeds of which nro for Hie Sailors' Comforts nnil Minesweepers' Fund.
