Messrs. W. P. Ward, W. Allan, J. P. Luke, W. H.P. Barbor, T. Forsyth, and Professor Easterfield were present at the' meeting of the governors of tho Wellington Boys' and Girls' Colleges held yesterday morning. A long and very comprehensive report by the Inspector of Schools on tho matter of .accommodation at the Girls' Collego was before the. meeting,, and Miss Biitham (tho'acting-principal'of the col-, lege)' also furnished a report traversing that of the inspector. 1 _Mr, Thomas Forsyth indicated a., desire to go thoroughly '■ into the inspector's report, which ho said .contained many valuable suggestions. It was 10 good getting the report' of an expert if they did not give it consideration. He knew that it was customary,to got ;c----ports and allow' them to lie upon the table unread, but lie contended that if a report was worth getting" it was: worth considering.: Th* chairman (Mr. Ward) said that they did not take notice of theso inspector's reports. They Wore made every year, and -were nearly always different. Mr. ;f. P. Luke thought :hat tho report should be handed to the Press (which had. not-been done), so thnt.it would get the fullest consideration.. : Finally it was decided, to hold consideration' of both voports over till next 'meeting. ..- The board Jhen wont'into committee.
