RAILWAY SERVANTS' WAGES

Ihe local branch of the Amalgamated bociety of Bailway Servants resolved last evening: That as the Government seems to be paltering with the request for an increase of 2s. n day, we urge the Executive to demand nh immediate reply. If there is a refusal to give an increase, we demand that the council at once convene a meeting of Wellington representatives of tho branches to consider future action."
The Mount Torlesse Coal Miners' Industrial Union of Workers passed the following resolution -.—"That this unit of the Miners Federation pledges its moral and financial support to the New Zealand Locomotive Engineers, Firemen and Cleaners' Association in its endeavour to obtain a wage commensurate with the important work performed by these
