RED CROSS "OUR DAY"
To-morrow will afford the last opportunity to those, who wish to contribute to the "Our Day" fund. Red Cross workers will be stationed in various parte of the city to-morrow, and the sale ol Hags and buttonhole badges will be the order of the day. Out of respect for willing who have worked unceasingly it is not the wish-of the-committee to'make the work of the collectors arduous and those willing to contribute will have an opportunity of doing so without liavin" the collection boxes pushed prominently before them. It is hoped that the .public will show their appreciation of this line of action by contributing voluntarily and generously. It is huped the result -of- -the; day's campaign will be worthy of the cause of the .greatest mother in tho world-tho Red Cross organisation. ■The Wellington Military District was called upon to provide about .£75,000 towards the amount reiiuired (,£220,000) for the coining year's operations.
