EASTBOURNE SOCIAL CLUB
There' was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the aboyo cliib. Mr. Bennett occupied tho chair, and congratulated --.tho members on a successful season. The\ balance-sheet showed a credit of £1 Us. 8d„ on the year's working. The. following were elected as officers for the ensuing season: ■President, Mr. W. Bennett; vicepresidents, His Worship tiie Mayor, Mr. P. Levi, and Mr. H. AY. Shortt; com-, uiittee, Mesdames Stephen and H. Wise, Misses Nixon and Young, Messrs. ReoVe, E. T. Wise, Downs, and J. Bainc; treasurer, Mr. C. I. Green; musical conductor, Mr. S. Cimino; secretary, Mr. C. A. Martinis. A motion to increase tho. subscription of ladies from ss. to 7s. Gd. was lost, At the conclusion of the meeting a dance was held, interspersed with musical items contributed by the club orchestra, Mi's. Grimmer, Mrs. H. Wise, Messrs. J. Ridler, Private Jones, and Bombardier Young. Twelve new members were elected.
