HELPING THE SOLDIERS
It was am American who "said'that our armies could not exist without the ] Rcd Cross. Few people would credit that tho Red Cross is such an active factor in this great struggle, yet it is true. "With its hundreds—its thousands of dressing stations, hospitals, ■ rest and convalescent homes, it is the business of the Red Cross to "make sick men forget their pain," and to bring them back to .health. Many a story is told of how tho Red Cross saved a soldier's life, and'inany are tho. little acts of kindness that are never heard of. The annual "Our Day Flag Drive" is now in operation here, snd it is hoped that the public will lespond generously.
